In Katihar, criminals have opened fire on the police station incharge. However, the police officer narrowly escaped in this firing. The police took action in this incident and arrested a criminal. On seeing the police, shot at the police station chief
Regarding the incident, Assistant Police Station Head Pankaj Pratap said that the police team was on patrolling operation in view of Holi. Then the police team got secret information that some criminals were firing in the block office premises. As soon as information about this was received, Police Station Head Pankaj Pratap reached the block campus with his team. As soon as the police force reached there, the criminals started running away after seeing the police. The police force signaled them all to stop but then one of the criminals opened fire on Police Station Officer Pankaj Pratap. Pankaj Pratap said that it was fortunate that the bullet passed by. Then Pankaj Pratap gave instructions to the police personnel present in the block office premises and then laid siege and caught the fleeing criminal by opening fire.
Because of this the police station officer’s life was saved
Regarding the incident, police station incharge Pankaj Pratap said that when the police tried to chase the criminal and catch him, he opened fire again, but this time also I was lucky that the bullet of his pistol got stuck and he was caught. If his bullet had not stuck, something else would have happened today. At present the criminal has been arrested, from whom a loaded pistol and four live cartridges have been recovered. The arrested criminal is Amit Rajak.
